Neumann Women's Lacrosse Camps
Christy Malone Fleagle
Heading into her fourth year at Neumann University as the Associate Athletic Director & Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach and thirteenth season overall, Christy Malone Fleagle led the Knights to another CSAC Championship game in 2014. Fleagle has led the Women’s Lacrosse program back to back CSAC title games, a first in program history. The 2014 team finished 12-6 overall, 7-1 in conference action and was honored with seven players selected to All-Conference Teams. Coach Fleagle has tallied an overall record of 36-19 in just three seasons. The 2014 team hosted their first ECAC tournament game while receiving its third straight bid to the ECAC tournament. Fleagle continues to accomplish many program “firsts” during her tenure at Neumann. The 2012 team finished number one in ground balls for Division III women’s lacrosse. She has coached 19 All Conference selected players during her tenure at Neumann.
Fleagle comes to Aston after serving four seasons as Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach at St. Bonaventure University from 2007-2011. The “Bonnies” competed in the Atlantic 10 Conference at the Division I level. Fleagle started her coaching career at Philadelphia University. She served as the Assistant Coach for the 2003 season and was elevated to Head Coach on September 1, 2004. She spent five seasons with Philadelphia University Rams and instantly turned the lacrosse program around, consistently being ranked in the top 10 for Division II Women’s Lacrosse. The Rams captured the 2007 ECAC crown under Fleagle a first for the Rams program.
A native of Aldan, Pa., Fleagle was a standout player at Archbishop Prendergast High School where she was named Philadelphia Catholic League MVP in 1996 and 1997. A highly recruited high school athlete Fleagle went on to a stellar four-year career at Cabrini College, where she was a two-time Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) MVP, helping the Cavaliers to four consecutive PAC Championships. Fleagle led the nation in saves during her freshmen debut, recording a .675 save percentage. In addition, Fleagle was part of a Cabrini squad that earned three straight postseason invitations to the ECAC tournament and NCAA tournament. In 1999 her team went on to participate in the ECAC tournament. In 2000 and 2001 the Cabrini squad participated in the NCAA tournament.
In September, 2011 Christy was inducted into Cabrini’s Athletic Hall of Fame. Currently Fleagle serves on the All-Region, All-American Division III Women’s Lacrosse Committee as well as the ECAC Division III Women’s Lacrosse Selection Committee. Fleagle, also served on the 2011 NCAA Regional Advisory Championships Division I Lacrosse Committee.
Fleagle received a bachelor's degree from Cabrini College in 2001 and earned her Master’s Degree from Neumann University in Organization Strategic Leadership in May of 2014.
In May of 2014, Christy married Thomas Fleagle of Honey Brook, Pa, the couple now resides in East Fallowfield Township.
